There is a misconception about this program its not for just borrowers with negative equity or minimum equity. Even in the case of having a loan to value ratio under 80% or equity of more then 20% is still acceptable especially in the case where the debt-to-income ratio is quite high. As long as the current loan is held by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac. Often times no appraisal is required it also allows for an unlimited number of financed properties.
